The Gospel of Luke is one of the earliest records of Jesus’ life and shows how Jesus’ story fulfills the story of God and Israel.

Luke has 24 chapters, so if we take one chapter a day and read it and reflect on it we will have read through the book of Luke by Christmas.

A breakdown of the book:

  • Chapters 1-2 introduce John the Baptist and Jesus.
  • Chapters 3 through most part of 9 tell about Jesus and his mission.
  • The last part of chapter 9 leading through most of 19 tells the story of Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem.
  • The last part of chapter 19 leading through most of 24 talks about Jesus’ final week in Jerusalem before he was crucified and resurrected.

For each chapter, we have some questions to reflect on and journal prompts to help us meditate on the scriptures.

If you take the 24-day reading challenge in the book of Luke, let me know your thoughts!
