Don't Let This Fall Out of Your Mouth

Don't Let This Fall Out of Your Mouth!

Negativity, that is...

Over the next ten days, I will be sharing some declarations to encourage you and keep the momentum going. You can catch the declarations on my Facebook page or Instagram.

Declaration number one is:

Say it out loud. How did it make you feel?

I had someone tell me that it filled them with hope. Just saying this one phrase, this one sentence declaration, moved their feelings in a positive direction.

Write it down or put it in your phone as a reminder and say it throughout the day.

These days, nothing goes like we think it should go, and life feels out of control. Every day there is something new to think about, a new rule to follow, a place we can't go, a new way to do things. It can be really frustrating, but one thing that we can control is how we respond to these situations.

We get to CHOOSE how we respond!

It's easy to become stressed and overwhelmed, but if we are intentional to remember that EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OK, we will be able to react calmly, rationally, and with a positive attitude.

2 Corinthians 4: 17-18 says:

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

When our day doesn't go as planned or starts on the wrong foot, we can say these declarations over ourselves and others around us and change our environment.

Ephesians 4:29

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

In this verse, we are challenged to speak life to others, to use our words to lift others. To really listen to understand what their needs are and to encourage them in those areas.

Some people are not natural encouragers, it's something you have to practice, but that is ok! We all have areas that we can work and improve on.

Say it one more time, out loud -

Everything is going to be ok!!!
