As we near the end of our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting, what changes will you be making?
In these last days, you may be tempted to start thinking of what you will be able to eat again… or what you can go back to, BUT I want to challenge you to make changes that move you forward!
WHAT WILL YOU CHANGE?
Less soda for more water?
Less alcohol for more herbal tea?
Less sugar and more fruit?
Less meat and more vegetables?
Less driving and more walking?
Less worry and more sleep?
Less anger and more laughter?
Less words and more action?
Less scrolling and more reading?
Less sleeping in and more getting up early and spending time with God?
Over the last 20 days, you were like a rubber band. Once you stretch a rubber band, it will never go back to how it was.
You have been stretched physically, spiritually, and emotionally and you will never be the same.
So don’t go back to how things used to be, make some changes to be transformed.
I remember that after our first fast, our family never went back to cow’s milk. We started drinking almond, coconut, or oat milk. Every fast since then, we have always made a healthy change. We took a first step.
What’s your first step?
Don’t get overwhelmed with all the lifestyle changes you think you need to make because that will cause you to shut down and do nothing. Pick one thing and make one change. One. Step. Forward.
Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
You have to stop telling yourself that you can’t, and start telling yourself that you can.
I CAN change.
I CAN figure this out.
I CAN do the hard things.
Don’t let Day 21 be the end, let it be the launching pad into day 22 and beyond.
You can do more than you think you can!
