With news of baby formula being hard to find, it can cause fear and panic to overwhelm a mama. And when we are fearful, we don’t always make the best choices. Anxiety and panic can set in.
So I wanted to post some all-natural baby formulas that you can make at home from things in your grocery store or that you can order online.
But before I post the recipes, I want to remind you that God is our protector and provider. The 10 plagues did not touch His children. They lived in the land of Goshen and were free from the things going on around them. God provided manna, their food, for the Israelites for years and even gave them quail. We see a widow whose oil never ran out in the New Testament, as long as she had empty jars to fill.
So God can provide a mom with enough milk to feed her baby, be it her milk or something that is man-made. He is our provider. So the first thing you need to do is ask God for milk. Ask God how He will provide and what He wants you to do.
I am sharing recipes I used with my kids because I had trouble nursing. I was able to get to 9 months with one, and the other two ended at 6 months. I didn’t want to use a formula as I wanted something more natural, so this is some research I used way back in the day when my kids were born.
(Also, I am not a medical doctor, and this is not medical advice. This is just my story and what I did.)
1. Baby formula has been available since the 1920s and widely available to the majority of the population since the 1950s.
This first recipe is what people used before and during that time.
12 oz. evaporated milk
18 oz. boiled water
2 Tbsp. corn syrup, dark
¼ Tsp. of probiotics
1 Tbsp. of organic greens and reds, powder (this was not in the original recipe but helps add vitamins and minerals to their formula.)
The dark corn syrup will also help keep their digestive tract moving.
2. Goats milk. Goat milk molecules are smaller than cow's milk, so it is easy for babies to digest.
I used this to supplement my feedings when I had a hard time producing milk. I did add the dark corn syrup and probiotics. If I were doing it today, I would also add the organic powdered fruits and veggies, greens, and reds.
3. This last one is a recipe I found, and I wish I would have had it with my kids. I actually have saved it in case my kids needed it with their kids.
This would be good to drink at any age.
RAW, ORGANIC, VEGAN BABY FORMULA
Here is the Story from the mom and how this recipe came to be:

**Makes 1/2 gallon, approx 2-3 day supply for most babies depending on age.
1 Qt 100% Raw Organic Young Coconut water
1 ½ C. Organic Raw Almonds or 1 C. Organic shelled Hemp Seeds
You can mix them in equal parts as well - Your choice.
If using the almonds, soak 24 hrs and rinse very well.
For YOUNG BABIES (less than 3 mo.), use sprouted almonds that have been sprouted and dried. The almonds or hemp give your baby many important and needed fats & other nutrients.
1 Tbsp. Organic White Chia Seeds,
First, make a gel by soaking 1 part chia seeds in 10 parts water overnight. This gives your little one super amounts of calcium, protein, DHA & the Omega fatty acids needed for brain development, lots of B vitamins, and a lot of pure protein.
7-9 Org Dates, pitted according to sweetness desired
Dates are very high in nutrition and even contain lots of B vitamins!
1 serving of ORGANICS SUPER REDS
This adds the FULL SPECTRUM of needed vitamins for your baby and lots of minerals.
1 serving ORGANIC GREENS
This adds the minerals, iron & calcium your baby needs and builds the blood for superb health.
Pure Filtered Water to make 2 qts
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend on HIGH speed until almonds are very well blended.
Now, you must strain this milk through VERY fine mesh bags, cotton cloth, nylon mesh, etc.. 2-3 times to get out as much pulp as absolutely possible. Baby does not need any pulp, and it will clog the nipple on a newborn bottle nipple.
Add enough pure filtered water to make 2 Qts of milk TOTAL (Be sure there is NO FLUORIDE in the water!! It can block baby's digestion of good nutrients!)
Store milk in the refrigerator in a glass jar or 2 qt pitcher for 2-3 days or freeze in bottle-size portions using breastmilk storage bags.
I do this when traveling--Freeze in portions & then tightly pack the frozen milk in a cooler with blue ice. It stays frozen for two days in a good cooler until you get to your destination and can put it in the freezer. (It is normal for this milk to separate in the refrigerator-just shake very gently each time before filling the bottle. I warm the milk in a small saucepan before feeding at home, or when traveling, I use a bottle warmer that plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car. DO NOT let it get hot...ONLY LUKEWARM!)
