5 Things You CAN DO to Improve Your Health

Did you know if you make little changes every day for the whole year when you look back at your life in 365 days you'll notice a big change?

Most of the time we just don't know where to start.

Here lately I have had people asking me about how to be healthy. I think in our world there's such bondage over our health and God wants us living in Freedom even in our health.

So I want to give you 5 things you can do this week to start making little changes that in the long run will lead to BIG results.

Are you ready?  

1.  Get up an hour earlier than you usually do and use that time for yourself.  

A lot of people hit the snooze button sometimes for an hour.  Science is showing that is it's not good for our mental clarity to wake ourselves up and then doze back off. So set your alarm, get up, have your quiet time and give God your day.

QUICK TIP: If you get up and go brush your teeth, it will help you wake up!

2.  Workout for at least 10 minutes a day, eventually move to 30.

If you do interval workouts you can work out for 7-10 minutes and get your heart rate up. Go for a walk. If you have stairs walk up and down the stairs and then give yourself 30 seconds of rest and do it again for 7-10 minutes. Do Yoga, there are lots of free sessions on youtube.   Remember you don't have to like it to do it.  You're making small changes that will have a big impact on your life.

3.  Drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day.

If you weigh 200 pounds you would drink 100 ounces of water every day.  If you measure out the water the night before in a jug or in 3 or 4 individual bottles you can start right when you wake up.  Hydrate before you caffeinate.  :)

4.  Give up one food category you know you shouldn't be eating.   

If you're drinking water enough, it can help  (see #3)  start by giving up coke, diet coke,  or sweet tea. Just a thought. If you're not sure what foods aren't good for you, look up foods that cause inflammation and start there. 

5.  Write down 10 things you are thankful/grateful for every single day.

Get a Thankful journal and write 10 things or more every day. In a year you'll have thought of 3650 things. Wow! That's a lot. Start a note on your phone and everyday type up 10 or more things you're thankful for. If you want you can do both. You can never write down to many things you're thankful for.

If you can't do all 5, pick three, or even pick one, but start today, start now!  You can be thankful right now. If you start today you will look back in one month and see change, but you have to start.  You can do it!!
